About Us

Nancy Cozzi, O.D.

I grew up in Rootstown, Ohio which is a small town in the Northeast near Kent State University. As a family we enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities on the water including fishing on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, jetskiing, and swimming. We were always active and eating fresh fruits and vegetables out of our garden all season. Exercise and healthy eating were a priority in our family. Those healthy habits learned early on has set the stage for my health and well-being as I grew into adulthood. Now I enjoy competing in open water swimming and I completed an Ironman triathlon at the age of 33. I try to instill a healthy lifestyle into all of my patients because I know how powerful it can be.

After receiving my B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Kent State it was easier to see how the smallest of biological processes could have such a large impact on our genetics, health, and longevity. Then I went on to earn my Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St.Louis. In the many years since my graduation, it has become more and more apparent that modern western medicine is in fact flawed and there is a better way to approach disease. Thank you for getting to know me and I hope to get to know you soon as well!
