Welcome to OIC Integrative Optometry,
Your Akron Optometrist!
Here at O.I.C. Integrative Optometry, I want to give my patients the best care possible and that should not be limited to only one form of medicine. That is why I am choosing an integrative approach to look at disease from new perspectives. In my many years of practice, I have watched the decline of countless patients even with the best treatments that conventional modern medicine has to offer as well as the steep debt incurred by such treatments. Through all of my research, which includes dozens of books and hundreds of white paper journal articles, I truly believe there is a better way. I want to share my knowledge with you and create a specific healing plan tailored to each individual. Are you satisfied with the quality of your vision? Is your eye health progressively decaying over time despite your best efforts? Then maybe it’s time for a second opinion.
According to the National Institutes of Health:
“Integrative health care often brings conventional and complementary approaches together in a coordinated way. It emphasizes a holistic, patient-focused approach to health care and wellness—often including mental, emotional, functional, spiritual, social, and community aspects—and treating the whole person rather than, for example, one organ system. It aims for well-coordinated care between different providers and institutions.”
“Integrative medicine may also include the supplementation of natural products such as herbs or botanicals, vitamins and minerals, and probiotics based on the individual’s needs.”
“I have personally seen dozens of patients whose potentially blinding condition was caught by Dr Cozzi. Her clinical acumen and compassion for patients make Dr Cozzi a great clinician.”
“I have had the pleasure of sharing patient care with Dr.Cozzi through corneal consultation and have been impressed by her diagnostic skills and dedication to patient care. Her patients echo the same praise and I would trust her with family and friends.”
“I came to this office because it was part of Warby Parker but I would recommend Dr Cozzi to anyone. She gave me more info in the short exam I had with her than any other eye exam I have had in the past. And there is no hard sell or pressure to purchase from Warby Parker. The prescription is made available to you instantly. I would highly recommend Dr. Cozzi!”
“Great experience and very knowledgeable doctor. Highly recommended. I hate going to the optometrist, but Dr. Cozzi made it an easy visit. Great central Cincy location in Kenwood Towne Centre.”
“Amazing experience!! I was so impressed with such a knowledgeable doctor and the attention to my medical history!! Highly recommend!!”

DRY EYE
In the current digital era, dry eye disease is more prevalent than ever. Electronic device use can have a negative impact on our visual system as well as the ocular surface. However, that is not the only cause, dryness has been linked to autoimmune disease, diabetes, thyroid eye disease, medication side effects, amongst others. The list of symptoms associated with dry eye is extensive. A comprehensive eye exam can easily diagnose this condition and there are many treatment options available.
